A return to Asheville for Bruce and most of the Noisemakers…

Four months after playing the Biltmore, Bruce and half of the band returned for Warrene Haynes’ 27th annual Christmas Jam.

This was a different-sounding set for a couple of reasons – all dulcimer, and no bass or drums. We still have Bruce, Ross Holmes on fiddle and mandolin, J.T. Thomas on keyboards and Gibb Droll on guitar.

Not sure what prompted the intro but we got a tease of J. Geils Band’s “Centerfold” and Peter Gabriel’s “Sledgehammer”. Both firsts, as far as I know!

“Over the Rise” is a new song from the upcoming record.

You can download the uncompressed version of this show at etree. Thanks very much to ddchye for taping and sharing.

Thanks to Leslye Thorton for the photo.
