Every twelve months or so Bruce makes time for us to update us on new projects and throw in some news that you might not have read elsewhere.

We did that again for Daily Dose Day in May 2018, which gave us about an hour of new news.

In amongst the chat we talked about:

  • the new “Postcards from Tossington” record covering 20 of Bruce’s songs
  • an upcoming new record
  • this year’s Funhouse Fest and tour
  • working with Justin Vernon
  • the new Noisemakers, John Mailander and Chad Wright 
  • his influence on younger musicians and their shoutouts to him
  • writing on the dulcimer
  • directing the band on the dulcimer
  • his best environment to write music, and taking inspiration
  • other channels for creativity – painting, storytelling, photography
  • “restless creativity” and constant change versus reflecting on achievements
  • the last year’s touring
  • remaining challenges
  • the SCKBSTD musical
