Bruce Hornsby has announced a solo European tour for November 2019.
Beginning with two UK dates, Bruce will cover Glasgow, London, Cologne, Berlin, Antwerp and Utrecht between November 1 and 11.
Speaking on the official website, Bruce noted: “Simply put, the beautiful response to Absolute Zero led to this revitalized interest in having me come over and play these dates, and I look forward to roaming through thirty-three years of musical evolution with any and all who are interested”.
These are some exciting venues – Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall is a major venue in the city, and Tivoli (Utrecht, Netherlands) hosts the spectacular Grote Zaal (Great Hall)..
Historically we’ve had some pristine recordings from the European shows, dating between 1995 and most recently in 2012. We even had a couple of BBC Radio 1 broadcasts with the band between 1988 and 1993 (see: Download: Bruce Hornsby and the Range, London 1988 and Download: Bruce Hornsby – Jazz Cafe, June 1993).
We look look forward to some of you this coming November! Nearer the time we’ll announce meet-ups for Glasgow and London for anyone interested. That usually involves a meal at nearby restaurant – there are plenty of them in Shepherd’s Bush).
