Common consensus is that our friend Kate Mossman wrote one of the most informed and insightful articles about Bruce Hornsby, for the New Statesman in 2015. She told us about it in this chat with us in 2018.
That’s had an update in a new book, released on Thursday April 3.
Kate calls it “part memoir, part meditation on an era, but also about the art of interviewing”. As well as the interview with Bruce, she’s written about being inspired by him – and there are chapters on other artists she’s interviewed, including Sting, Jeff Beck, Jon Bon Jovi, Brian May and Roger Taylor.
Bruce’s chapter is called “Still Obsessive After All These Years”.
