Bio: David Bruce Murray

I am the Minister Of Music at Corinth Baptist Church in Ellenboro, NC, a position I have held for 15 years. I’m also the author of Murray’s Encyclopedia Of Southern Gospel Music (www.musicscribe.com). I have been a fan of Bruce Hornsby since he first came on the scene with “The Way It Is.” Being a piano player myself, I’m naturally inclined to follow great piano players, and I consider Bruce to be the best. I chose “Heir Gordon” because it lends itself so easily to jamming. I tried to strip it down to the essentials and then render it in my own piano playing style.
