Bio: Patrick Furlong

I am a Physician Assistant in Orthopaedic Surgery and I work in Portland, Maine. I am originally from Poughkeepsie, NY and did not start playing the piano until I was 18. I remember when I heard Bruce’s piano solo on “The Way It Is” and have been a loyal fan ever since. I was fortunate enough to have spent a few days with Professor Bruce at the Omega Institute in 1998 (thanks to my brother Bob) and learned some chops from the master himself. I first heard “Nobody There But Me” in 1987 when Bruce played it with Willie Nelson on Willie’s TV special. I have always loved when Bruce collaborates and performs with other artists and this tune is one of my favorites. Willie has a version of it on his “Island in the Sea” album. Thank you Bruce and Si.
