Bruce Hornsby recently announced a collaboration with conductor Michael Tilson Thomas and the New World Symphony orchestra. There will be two shows in Miami, which is where Bruce played with another orchestra twenty years ago. And today we’re giving you that show for download!
This was a few months after the release of Harbor Lights, and features a gorgeous version of The Tide Will Rise.
It doesn’t lend itself to a lot of improvisation, but Bruce and the band still gave us a show to remember – this is still one of the most talked about shows, two decades later.
Bruce returns to Miami on January 30 and 31. He’ll play four new orchestrations, from songs taken from SCKBSTD. You can find more details at BruceHornsby.com and get tickets at the New World Symphony site.
