Bridgette Bryant early influences

Bridgette Bryant grew up surrounded by music, often staying up late with her sister to listen to records. Her passion for singing blossomed in her local choir, where she honed her voice. Realising that “music was medicine,” she embraced her calling to perform and share love through her art.

Professional career

Bryant began her professional journey in the choir of gospel legend Daryl Coley and was mentored by prominent singers like Maxi Anderson and Alex Brown. Her career took off as she collaborated with Stevie Wonder and toured with Phil Collins in the 1990s, experiencing the contrasting vibes of R&B and pop-rock fans.

Focus on family

After touring, she chose to stay home to raise her children, shifting her focus to studio work and occasional performances. Inspired by her experiences as a mother, she co-wrote “Lessons in Life” with Daniel Ho, a song that has become a valuable educational tool.

Return to music

Before the pandemic, Bryant reached out to Collins to join his latest tour, reprising the duet “Separate Lives.” She expressed that singing is a joyful pursuit, never feeling like work. For Bryant, music is a passion that brings healing and love to the world.
