Laura Creamer, born Laura Polkinghorne in Detroit, Michigan, began her journey in music at the age of 10 when she recorded a jingle for Kroger Foods. Growing up in a musical city, she developed her passion through formal music education in high school and at Wayne State University. Her talent and ambition soon led her to Los Angeles, where she pursued a career as a singer and songwriter.

Laura Creamer has had a remarkable career as a background vocalist and arranger, working with an impressive range of legendary artists. She has provided backing vocals for Bob Seger, Thomas Dolby, Bruce Hornsby, Glenn Frey, Cher, The Scorpions, Michael Bolton, Joe Walsh, The Black Crowes, and Kid Rock. She has toured extensively with several of these artists, notably with Bob Seger and Eric Clapton, and was a key part of Seger’s band on his “Face the Promise” tour.
In 1985, Creamer toured with Eric Clapton as a back-up vocalist alongside Marcy Levy. Interestingly, she, Levy, and Shaun Murphy have all shared the stage as vocalists for both Bob Seger and Clapton.
